Facilities Technician

Sensience is a leading provider of manufacturing support services to the global glass to metal industry. Sensience partners with the global glass to metal manufacturing process to ensure that products are made to specification and delivered on time. As a member of the production team, the Facilities Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all facility equipment as well as the coordination of the installation of new equipment with other Sensience facilities departments.

Essential Functions:

• Installation and maintenance of all facility equipment as well as coordinating installation of new equipment with other Sensience facilities departments.
• Coordination with other Sensience facilities departments regarding installation of new equipment.
• Performs chemical alteration of material: pre and post etching of glass
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and customers at all times.
• Perform work in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and following good work habits.
• Perform all tasks using a personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Only performing work-related duties at designated job sites.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a customer service environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read, interpret, and implement SOPs by working closely with management; ability to develop own PPE knowledge; ability to interpret safety instructions and requirements; ability to write clear, concise, and understandable written correspondence; ability to write clear verbal correspondence; basic math skills; ability to identify numbers between 1-9; ability to operate a pocket calculator; ability to use common office equipment such as printers, fax machines, copiers, computers, etc.; ability to perform common physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking & carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, etc. .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.96 - $27.85 per hour
