Role Summary

We are looking for a Retention Representative to innovate, win and grow with us! As a member of an inside sales team within the Paymode-X Client Services organization, you will work creatively to successfully drive revenue through the adoption of the Paymode-X service. In this role you'll work with Vendors to resolve questions or concerns around their Paymode-X Premium membership resulting in long term Vendor commitment to the Paymode-X network.

How you'll contribute:

  • Maintain and update Salesforce Escalation, Rescind, and Rescind Save fields for Vendors who are managed through the escalation process.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams regarding collection of network fees. Initiate strategies for collections of outstanding Paymode-X network use fees. Persuade Vendors to pay past due amounts.
  • Retain revenue by working with Vendors diligently, courteously and professionally while resolving concerns and answering questions.
  • Effectively educate customers on the various aspects of the Paymode-X service.
    • Understand Vendor specific business needs
    • Explain the technical aspects of the remittance delivery functionality including ACH and EDI services.
  • Communicate with Client Advisory Teams and management for any Vendor concerns, challenges and problem solving recommendations.
  • Negotiate network fee reductions, as required, with Vendors.
  • Liaise with the Payer Relationship Managers in order to ensure the success of the campaigns including managing any vendor escalation trends that arise, tracking and resolving Vendor escalations.
  • Retain Vendor loyalty and acceptance of Paymode-X network use fees while initiating processes for resolving outstanding fees and Vendor concerns.
  • Maintain a constant focus on improving oneself and finding innovative ways to continually increase retention rates.

  • At least 1 year of proven experience in a customer support, sales or retention role
  • Able to be successful in fast-paced sales environment that rewards hard work and self-motivation.
  • Prominent organization, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
