BackBay Dental is a progressive dental practice located in Wolfeboro New Hampshire. Our work environment includes:

• We are looking for a competent and experienced dental assistant who will fit into our progressive office open Monday-Thursday. Dental assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail. The candidate must have a strong desire to learn and improve upon current dental skills. Experience with Cerec acquisition, milling and staining strongly desired. Familiarly with Hard and Soft Tissue Laser is a must. Candidate must be willing to learn and attend continuing education classes. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining Cerec Milling units and Ovens
• Upkeep of dental lasers
• Ordering necessary supplies needed for day to day practice
• Preparation and breakdown of rooms for dental procedure
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for each procedure
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Proficent in dental record keeping

Skills

• Proven minimum of three years experience as dental assistant
• Experience with Cerec is needed.
• Experience with Sure Smile and Invisaline Orthodontics is strongly desired
• Ability to scan and acquire intra-oral images
• Knowledge of milling and 3-D printing desired
• Staining and firing crowns highly desired
• Exposure to Hard and Soft Tissue Laser safety protocols needed
• Familiarity with dental implant restorative procedures
• Radiation certification a must
• Proficient of in dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is needed
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All Patients are screened prior and checked day of and required to wear masks in the office. Air is currently changed over in the office five times an hour using surgical HEPA filters.
