Job Description

Paws for Awhile is looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team in Marlborough, NH.

Responsibilities:

Feed, water and clean dogs
Provide daily walks and socialize with the dogs
Clean kennels, bathrooms and other kennel areas as needed
Handle and control aggressive dogs
Clean dog dishes and feed the dogs when they are finished eating
Monitor dog health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management as needed
Maintain a clean and healthy dog environment - scooping sand, removing mud from the kennel floors, etc.
Report any unusual occurrences (dog bites, fights, etc.)to management immediately
Maintain proper records (e.g. dog feedings, exercise time) for each day recorded by our Dog Behavior Managers.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to work. We will provide you with a weekly allowance to use as you please.
Must be friendly and provide excellent customer service - both to owners and their dogs. We want our customers to love their jobs!
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail required. We are constantly doing multiple tasks at one time, and must be able to quickly prioritize tasks in order of importance. We are also very organized and efficient at managing our kennel operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
