Waterville Valley Resort is seeking part-time and full-time front desk agents. Waterville Valley Resort is an "at-will" equal opportunity employer.
JOB PURPOSE: Serves guests by providing timely and efficient assistance to day visitors and overnight guests of Town Square; providing accurate lodging information and reservations; responding to all inquiries with full current information on all aspects of Town Square and resort operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Provides front desk services to overnight guests of Town Square Condominiums by performing check-in and check-out procedures; disperses accurate information and literature to guests; anticipates guest needs and responds to guest requests in a courteous and tactful manner; posting charges and payments to guest folios; corresponds with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guests’ needs and/or special requests are met.
2. Provides lodging reservation services by answering telephone calls on incoming lines, responding to walk-in guests and/or responding to email reservation inquiries. Books reservations on dedicated lodging reservations computer system; maintains current knowledge and understanding of Town Square units, layout, pricing, and packages; assists guests by offering alternatives in their selection/inquiry of lodging/packages that may be best suited to their needs, comfort, preferences, and budget; maintains high standards of office, customer service and telephone etiquette.
3. Provides accurate information to guests by maintaining current information of all Town Square lodging prices and operations; maintaining current information of guest amenities and services offered in the valley and at the ski area; accurately dispersing lodging and resort information by telephone, mail, and in person; assisting other staff in handling inquiries; seeking information and advice from supervisors when needed.
4. Provides information to other departments by submitting requested information; preparing reports as necessary; maintaining lists; preparing mailings.
5. Contributes to the profitability of the resort by adhering to accurate money handling and audit procedures; providing excellent service to guests; following all office procedures to assure accuracy, efficiency, and guest satisfaction; actively selling Town Square lodging and other Waterville Valley amenities.
6. Contributes to team effort by participating in job sharing; assuming responsibility as a team member for the cleanliness of the Town Square complex and for safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
SKILLS:
1. Strong customer relations and communications skills.
2. Must have excellent computer skills.
3. Must be detail-oriented, can keep a positive attitude, adapt to change under variable conditions meeting peak/changing work demands, interact well with others, and maintain effective working relationships.
