Job Title: Concrete Technician
Job Description
Aerotek is hiring immediately for concrete laborers in Keene, NH! This full-time Concrete Technician role focuses on structural concrete repair and maintenance for large parking garages, including garage slabs and connectors. You will work on a variety of concrete restoration tasks such as joint sealant replacement, overhead soffit repairs, caulking, form building, rebar tying, hot apply epoxy, and controlled demolition using chipping guns and jackhammers. Responsibilities • Perform concrete repair and restoration work on parking garage slabs and connectors in an outdoor and indoor construction environment. • Carry out joint sealant removal and replacement to ensure durable and watertight concrete joints. • Complete overhead soffit repairs, including preparation, patching, and finishing of concrete surfaces. • Apply caulking and waterproofing materials to protect structures from water intrusion and environmental damage. • Build and set forms for concrete repairs, ensuring accurate measurements and proper alignment. • Tie rebar and install reinforcing steel according to project specifications and safety standards. • Use hot apply epoxy and related materials for structural repair and bonding applications. • Perform controlled demolition using chipping guns, jackhammers, and other tools to remove damaged or deteriorated concrete. • Safely operate hand tools such as hammers, pliers, tape measures, pry bars, and speed squares throughout daily tasks. • Follow all site-specific safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. • Work effectively as part of a construction crew, communicating clearly with team members and supervisors. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored and used properly. • Adapt to varying work schedules, including potential second shifts, extended days, or weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines.
Essential Skills • At least 1 year of outdoor construction experience specifically in concrete work. • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in caulking, patching, or controlled demolition of concrete. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, working overhead, and using heavy tools such as jackhammers and chipping guns. • Proficiency in using basic construction hand tools, including a 20 oz hammer, pliers, a 25-foot tape measure, a 12-inch pry bar, and a speed square. • Understanding of basic construction measurements, layout, and form building techniques. • Experience working safely on active construction sites and consistently following safety protocols. • Reliable attendance and punctuality with the ability to start work at the scheduled time each day. • Willingness to obtain an OSHA 10 certification within 10 days of starting if not already held.
Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in masonry work, including block, brick, or stone-related tasks. • Experience in concrete carpentry, such as forming, framing, and finishing concrete structures. • Knowledge of waterproofing techniques and materials used in concrete repair and protection. • Current OSHA 10 certification is highly desired upon starting. • Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings or instructions. • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship in all repair and installation tasks. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.

Work Environment
You will typically start work at 7:00 a.m. and work at least 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of additional hours as project needs arise. Some projects may require weekend work, second shifts, or a schedule of four 10-hour days from Monday through Thursday. Work takes place in both outdoor conditions, including hot summer weather, and indoor parking garage environments. Safety is a top priority, and you must wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, including a hard hat, steel-toe boots, and other required PPE. You will regularly use hand tools such as hammers, pliers, tape measures, pry bars, and speed squares, as well as heavier equipment like chipping guns and jackhammers in an active construction setting. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
