Assist in identifying and developing procedural changes for their organization using engineering practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Providing technical expertise to develop process improvements and maximize production and increase capacity.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems in order to optimize process efficiency and product quality.
- Drive standard work by exercising lean disciplines to identify value and reduce waste.
- Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
- Assist in driving and sustaining a continuous improvement culture.
- Monitor existing processes to make sure they continue to perform at optimal levels of efficiency.
- Identify area of opportunity for future continuous improvement.
- Assist in performing first article approvals.
- Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and procedural policies.
- Notify leadership of any quality or production problems.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering department with investigating and troubleshooting production related issues.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Quality oriented
- Excellent communication, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and produce results. The successful individual will be expected to take ownership of his/her position. The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company.
