Direct Care Professionals support students’ therapeutic work in the program and community by providing a high level of supervision, developing consistent and caring relationships, attending to physical and emotional safety, and serving as positive role models. This job is both rewarding and provides opportunities for personal growth and professional skill development. The position includes full benefits and up to $20/hour for individuals with related experience and education. A $500 signing bonus that will be paid out at 3 months!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision that supports the physical and emotional safety of our students
  • Collaborate in planning and facilitating structured, on-campus activities that engage students and offer opportunities for growth and the development of new skills
  • Collaborate with the Clinical team to plan and facilitate daily process, skills and psychoeducational groups.
  • Work alongside the Medical Department to attend to the physical health of students, including the daily monitoring of vital signs.
  • Document daily student progress and challenges via established HIPAA compliant platforms
  • Facilitate and supervise off-campus trips, when appropriate
  • Support healthy life choices and decision making with students in the milieu
  • Role model and support students with managing personal responsibilities and chores
  • Utilize strength-based approaches and an authoritative parenting style to support overall individual student growth
  • Participate in all team meetings and trainings
  • Report any pertinent information to manager/supervisor and clinical staff
  • Support and promote a culture of inclusion and respect among students and fellow staff in our community.

Reports to: Program Manager

Estimated Schedule/Hours:

Front Half (38 hours)

  • Sun 9AM-10PM
  • Mon 2:00PM-10PM
  • Tues 2:00PM-10PM
  • Wed 1PM-10PM

Back Half (38 hours)

  • Wed 1PM-10PM
  • Thurs 2PM-10PM
  • Fri 2PM-10PM
  • Sat 9AM-10PM

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Requirements: B.A. or B.S. in related field preferred but not required; prior experience working with adolescents and young adults preferred; background check; Minimum age of 21.

Experience Preferred for Position: Clinical Assistant, Direct care worker, DSP, Direct Support Professional, Child Care, Personal Support Worker (PSW), Direct Care Worker (DCW), Caregiver, Residential Counselor, Behavioral Technician, Support Staff, Life Skills Coach, Rehabilitation Aide.

A $1,000 signing bonus that will be paid out at 3 months and!
