Since 1987, the team at Cafe Valley has produced muffins, bundt cakes, ring cakes, loaf cakes, danishes, turnovers, croissants, and our signature Cafe Bites for our customers throughout the United States and across the world. Demand for our products have grown to the extent that our state-of-the-art, Phoenix, AZ production facility built in 2011 was joined by our Marion, IN production facility in 2014. We expanded again and recently acquired our Manchester, NH facility at the end of 2022- adding cupcakes to our product line up! Through innovative bakery techniques and unique recipes, we continue to delight one bite at a time.

Position summary: This position will be responsible for using a forklift to store finished cupcakes in the freezer and to load finished product from the racks onto trailers.
Schedule: 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm Monday- Friday with weekends as required
Pay: $25.97/hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs a forklift safety inspection at the start of every shift.
  • Ensures all materials needed for production are pulled from inventory in the freezer, transacted in SAP, and staged in the appropriate area.
  • Moves finished product from the freezer staging area into the proper racking locations.
  • Unloads trailers and scans materials into inventory, ensuring SOPs are followed and accurate records are maintained.
  • Loads finished product onto trailers and scans it out of inventory, ensuring SOPs are followed and accurate records are maintained.
  • Conducts inventory counts as needed.
  • Provides backup coverage and support to other warehouse positions
  • Performs general cleaning and organization of the work area and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience driving a fork truck in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow instructions, warning labels, and postings in English.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English with managers and employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong math and analytical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Constantly required to sit and balance.
  • Constantly required to grasp, hold, and turn, and otherwise work with hand.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and stoop, bend, lift, and stretch throughout shift.
  • Able to work in extreme environments (including hot, cold, wet, dusty, and slick places) and work in a 0° environment.
  • Able to see and perceive distances and spatial relationships.
  • Able to work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Regular, dependable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
