US Housing Consultants is seeking a qualified professional to serve as Housing Compliance Trainer for affordable housing programs. As a Compliance Housing Trainer, candidates would perform both live in-person training events as well as webinars. The candidate must have excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complicated materials conversationally and emphatically.

In this role, the Housing Compliance Trainer would have the opportunity to become a leading expert and thought leader on HUD, LIHTC, RD, and more and work with new and existing clients of US Housing Consultants. Eligible candidates must present a knowledgeable and optimistic view of affordable housing guidelines.

The Housing Compliance Trainer is responsible for the following:

• Conduct classroom, virtual, and conference training sessions
• Record training material, as requested
• Review training content, as requested, to ensure compliance with affordable housing programs
• Aid in creating training materials (i.e., presentations) as requested
• Assist in creation of new training materials to stay competitive with other companies providing affordable housing training
• Ability to speak on housing panels when requested
• Perform a variety of tasks in the Training Department as needed
• Monitor housing designation for renewals alerting the Director of Compliance Training prior to designation expiring

Eligible candidates should have the following qualifications:

• High School Education or GED
• 5+ years in the Affordable Housing Industry
• Knowledge of Affordable Housing Programs (i.e., LIHTC, HUD, RD, etc.) is required
• Housing Credit Certification Professional (HCCP) Designation through NAHB is required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experienced in presenting to large groups is preferred
• Proficient in effectively and professionally communicating both verbally and in writing
• Prior property management experience is preferred
• Proficient MS Office knowledge, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and Salesforce is preferred
• REAL ID required for travel (deadline 05/07/2025)

US Housing Consultants is based in Concord, New Hampshire, but employs a remote workforce environment. The candidate would be required to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays, to training events and internal company meetings and events. The Housing Compliance Trainer position would report to the Director of Compliance and would be supported by the training department.

Salary Range of $75,000 to $88,000 per year.
