Residential Mentors support our students’ therapeutic work in the community by developing consistent and caring relationships, attending to physical and emotional safety, and serving as positive role models. This job is both rewarding and provides opportunities for personal growth and professional skill development. The position includes full benefits and up to $18/hour for individuals with related experience and education. A $500 signing bonus that will be paid out at 3 months and 6 months!

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision that supports physical and emotional safety

• Plan and support on-campus activities that engage students, often by planning with them (Health and Fitness, study hall, events, etc.)

• Transport and supervise off-campus trips (rock climbing, movies, shopping, museums, surfing, etc.)

• Utilize Positive Youth Development to support student representations and Committees

• Support healthy life choices and decision-making with students in the milieu

• Role model and support students with managing personal responsibilities and chores

• Collaborate with other Residential, Counseling, Academic, and Administrative staff

• Participate in all team meetings and trainings

• Utilize strength-based approaches and an authoritative parenting style to support overall individual student growth

• Reporting any pertinent information to manager/supervisor and clinical staff

• Support and promote a culture of inclusion and respect among students and fellow staff in our school and community.

• Sun 9AM-10PM

• Mon 3:30PM-10PM

• Tues 3:30PM-10PM

Requirements: B.A. or B.S. in related field preferred but not required; prior experience working with adolescents and young adults preferred; background check; Minimum age of 21.
