Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, is responsible for assisting the department with general accounting functions including month end close, journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, back up for payroll; providing all levels of management with useful and accurate financial information on a timely basis, via verbal communication or documentation; as well as assisting with other accounting related functions.
Responsibilities
Month End Close Activity and Posting: - Posting month end journal entries. Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts- Cash and balance sheet accounts- review activity of accounts to the appropriate GL accounts.
Back up to Payroll: - Assist the payroll coordinator with verification of processing in accordance with all hospital pay policies. - Adjustments related to time sheets as indicated by both the manager and the employee.
Ad Hoc Reports and Other Miscellaneous Accounting projects: - Support team members as needed, assist with audit request, update monthly reports, prepare cash deposits. Accounts payable backup. - Vendor statement inquires and invoice reconciliation.
